Dammed if I know...it was a long time ago. Forty eight years! Probably watching Star Trek's pilot episode.

That was 1960.  To far back to remember.  That was before everything happened.(space program, riots, president  and mlk were killed. VN and the protests)  Guess ya could say it was all quiet and calm.

In 7th grade...

Playing Donkey Kong, asteroids and space invaders.

I was in 8th grade, had a girlfriend named Linda Allen (she was a cutie), had a newspaper delivery route in the morning before school and hand picked cucumbers and tomatoes for a local farmer in the evening. I was also serving in the USAF Auxillary Unit called the Civil Air Patrol, and on November 22nd, 1963 I was deeply saddened by the assassination of JFK.

I can't say for fear of self incrimination. I started early.

Tom, you were serving at age 13?

on Apr 15, 2014

Enjoying live, eating boogers, skating, spraying, drawing and getting interested in the other gender

It was an Air Force Auxillary Jim, for teens to learn the disciplines of the military and provide public assistance as needed. We also did competition drill, we were even the best in the mid-west at the time. Even flew on a C-119 from Detroit to Ft Wayne once to compete, I'll never forget that, talk about getting sick!  My older brother and I were both in it, he went on to be a Marine and I signed the USAF at age 17, but had to wait until I turned 18 to go active duty.

Ah, sorta like the high school kids doing ROTC?

Started high school...JFK was elected President. Loved fencing, drawing and painting with acrylic...drawing with a rapidograph, going out with Susan Katz.

I think it is relative to where you were born and where you live.. We can not choose the place, the family, etc. that we want to be born in.  To me, the girl who hunts with a golden eagle in Mongolia, looks much happier then many teens, both in the past and the present.

Thank you for sharing that, coffeegrinder!!    I missed seeing that when I first commented!

Quoting RedneckDude, reply 7I can't say for fear of self incrimination. I started early.

Ah.. so you are now proficient with Braille?

Yeah, but it's touch and go ...like, stop touching the sheep, Jim!
